Interoperability
Standards -
Implementation, Dynamics, and Impact
to be held in conjunction
with Interop-ESA 2005
Geneva
February 22, 2005
organised by the NO-REST project.
Workshop Description
The WS aims at getting a better understanding of the impact ICT
standards have on networked organisations. The influence standards
exert in this environment will be discussed. To this end, the
WS will particularly investigate the applicability and, specifically,
the dynamics of standards and their implementations, focussing
on the e-business and e-government sectors.
Aspects to be addressed include, but are not limited to:
We solicit, for instance, conceptual papers,
empirical papers, and case studies, to explore these topics. Research-in-progress
papers, as well as industry papers, are also most welcome to further
stimulate discussions. True to the nature of a Workshop, ample
time will be allocated for discussions.
The WS will attempt to strike a balance between academic rigor
and practical relevance. We expect that researchers and practitioners
(from both industry and standards setting bodies) will attend
and present their ideas and views.
Full versions of the accepted papers will be published in the conference post-proceedings.
