SAC 2002 was held March 10 - 13, 2002, in Madrid, Spain. It will feature a track on 'Standardisation in IT'.
 
 

SIIT 2001

SIIT 2001 was held on October 3-5, 2001, in Boulder, Colorado. It was hosted by the International Center for Standards Research.
 
 

IEEE Communications Magazine

The April issue had a Guest Editorial on 'Innovation in Telecommunications and IT' (actually, this should have been 'Standardisation in.............', but never mind). Some information may be found here.
 
 

E-mail distribution list

An SIIT distribution list has beeen established. This list will serve as a platform for discussions, and to distribute potentially interesting information on SIIT related issues, events, publications etc.
 
 

SIIT '99 - Gleanings

A first conference report (MS-Word) is available, written by Kurt Kosanke of the Cimosa Association. Click here for a PDF version.

Another, probably more biased report (produced by myself; in either MS-Word or PDF) will appear in a later issue of the IEEE Communications Magazine.

Meanwhile, Gary Robinson has written a very kind review of the conference in the Nov./Dec. 1999 issue of the IEEE Micro Magazine.

Likewise, Mostafa Hashem Sherif has written a report in the Jan. 2000 issue of the IEEE Communications Magazine. It has been published in the January 2000 issue. Click here for a preliminary version (the final paper is accessible only for ComSoc members).

Finally, I have now got permission from IEEE to publish the proceedings electronically. They can be found here, together with audio recordings of some of the presentations. If you still liked to obtain a printed copy of the proceedings, drop me a note.
