The International Journal of
IT Standards & Standardization Research
(JITSR)

This journal sets out to advance knowledge of, and insights into, all aspects relating to IT standards and standardisation, by providing a 'one-stop-shop' publication and information outlet for the extremely heterogeneous community of standards researchers.

It is published by IGI Global on a semi-annually basis; the first issue was published in November 2002. The publisher's pages for JITSR, which provide some additional information, may be found here.

And if you are interested in some promotional material, and maybe want to distribute it, you will find something here.

For those who don't want to buy a pig in a poke, a pdf-version of Issue 1 may be found here.

And last not least - the ToCs of all issues may be found here.

Overall scope

The journal aims to be a platform for presenting, and discussing, the broad variety of aspects that make up IT standards research. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, contributions from the disciplines of computer science, information systems, management, business, social sciences (especially science and technology studies), economics, engineering, political science, public policy, sociology, communication, and human factors/usability. In particular, the journal wants to both support and promote multi-disciplinary research on IT standards; 'IT' should be understood in a very broad sense.

To achieve, and maintain, both academic excellence and practical relevance are further high-priority objectives. To this end, all submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least three members of the editorial board.
